Setting Up Dates in the Workplace

Dating at the workplace can be complicated. Even though several people find their lifelong partner at work, there can be a number of relationship issues particularly when relationships concern an employer and employee. In one such instance, a male boss may set up a female intern with one of his family members for a date. If the female refuses to go on a date with the boss' family member, or if their potential relationship turns sour, this could have negative implications in the workplace.

For the most part, it's best for an employer to ensure that his personal life is separated from his business, especially in regards to relationships. Employees may feel worried that their employer may be unhappy with them if they do not want to fulfil the personal relationship requests of an employer. They'd especially be worried that their job may be threatened, since the employer has the decision making power regarding their position.
